This project included staged Double Bunking Beds to 352 prison cells with construction of additional infrastructure buildings (Training workshops, Search Facility, Health Building, Exercise Yards and the expansion of Separates-Management block and OPS Management building) plus associated services to accommodate additional muster.
The project was undertaken with the Prison in full operation, with the sequencing of works programmed to suit Prison Services requirements in regards to muster numbers and site security requirements.
Project cost control was monitored through White Associates Quantity Surveyors to verify probity and value management of MCL Construction’s preliminary and general value as well as cost of subcontractors and suppliers to deliver of the project to the client’s budget, quality and timelines.
